Blogit upgrade: list items for sale
Happy holidays! Now, in addition to your blogs, you may also list an item (e.g. article, poem, etc.) for sale at the price you choose.
Your items will appear on your profile page and the New Items page. Buyers may purchase your item simply by clicking the “Buy now” button.
Payments are made via PayPal, so you’ll receive payment instantly in most cases. (If you don’t have a PayPal account, to ensure that you receive payment quickly and your buyers have a good experience, please set up your PayPal account by going to www.paypal.com, and then follow the instructions in the PayPal welcome message to confirm your email address with PayPal.)
To list an item, click Write and then click “List an item for sale”. Listing items is free; when an item sells, the seller is charged a fee of 10% of the sale price. You may list up to 20 items at a time.
Currently, you must be a Blogit subscriber to buy an item. We are also considering allowing non-subscribers to purchase items, if there is interest from sellers.
Please note that the Blogit Terms of Use has been revised. The revised agreement includes changes to cover the listing and sale of items. We have also clarified further that an author always owns the copyright to their work, even when it’s licensed to us for use in blogs and items.
