‘The Cup of Joy?’

The minister’s intonation as he raised the communion cup to his lips prior to drinking the wine surprised me. I’ve attended countless communion services and can repeat the invocation to eat the ‘Bread of Life’ before eating the unleavened bread, from memory. I also know that we drink the non...
