How about ratings on blog posts?
While I certainly appreciate the icons and plaudits I receive from my readers, and even more their placing me on their people and blog lists, there is little that these actions do to help publicize my writings here. However, if they were able to give my posts how many stars out of five that they thought they deserved and if the posts with the highest average ratings were as prominently listed as the most visited and most recent are, their high ratings of my posts would, I think, be very effective in publicizing my writing, thus making Blogit a more attractive venue for unknown, but busy and shy writers.
