Why $700 Billion?
In a Forbes article from September 23, 2008, a U. S Treasury Department Spokeswoman is quoted to have stated: "It's not based on any particular data point," a Treasury spokeswoman told Forbes.com Tuesday. "We just wanted to choose a really large number." Wow! And I thought there was data to back up that ridiculously large number. There apparently wasn't. How about stopping bailouts by the government. Let's let those who erred suffer the consequences. It will either teach them or destroy them....
