Dick walked to the glass and looked in. Sadness made his shoulders droop heavily. He felt that his movements had slowed and that the scene was trailing before him in slow motion. The harsh lights shining on Annie made the scene fantasy like and unreal. Whilst his sentiments took him towards feeling pity for poor pathetic Annie, his personal education about emotions and how to manage them also told him that he could take control. Pity is worthless.
