Taking an honest look at yourself...understanding your inner being...

Our emotions affect everything we think and do. They afffect how we react to others and everything around us. We spend a lot of time analyzing everyone else's life, why not ours? We wrangle with our inner thoughts back and forth. We all know we can't control everything so why do we try anyway? If... Sign in to see full entry.

What makes you happy?

This is one of my own sculptures, clay 24" x 12" When I sculpt my children, I always have them looking up towards God, and his angels. They seem to have an inner beauty I can't quite sculpt into my adults. This is the one argument I have with beginning Grecians and Roman sculptures. They patterned... Sign in to see full entry.

Give yourself a hug, imaginate (Imagine & Create) your own joy...

I'm all about Art Therapy. When your heart hurts and your body is turning against you, what can you do to not give up on your god given right to joy. To be creative one need not be especially talented. Art has been given a bad reputation because it has long been disguised as the rich man's luxury. I... Sign in to see full entry.

Be selfish...improve on your own estate...seek wisdom...and fun!

If you want to change your life for the better, try going back to school like I did. There's always more to learn from Picasso to p ottery. Take a course in writing, ceramics, basket weaving, or jewelry making. Or, gift yourself by padding your soul with love and goodwill for others. Are you a... Sign in to see full entry.

Are you seeing what your looking at?

In poems and photography we confront things to break their hold over us. As I've suffered from depression since childhood, I am not always aware, at least on a conscious level, of the demons that drive my art. Reality is very restrictive so I like to mix in a littlefantasy. on paper, we can do this.... Would you like to cook up a new you?

Would you like to whip yourself into someone else happier? Imagine flipping through your favorite cookbook not looking for cakes and pies; but looking for the ingredients for a new you. Would you like to whip yourself into someone else? We all could use a little more adventure. We all could... Sign in to see full entry.

Waiting Inside...no child shall endure loneliness, it will scar for life...

I protest my isolation but protest is a mark of my defeat, even as I write. Being a victim, I am an accuser. Being human, others feel my fallen weight upon their thoughts and are oppressed - - as I am, their guilt unlike mine and unrelated and without hope in it of change for me. Guilty, my... Mother and Daughters, who can be closer and so far apart?

My own sculpture, 21" x 4" Recently I overheard a mother and daughter in >>their last moments together at the airport. They had announced the >>departure. >> >> Standing near the security gate, they hugged and >>the mother said, 'I love you and I wish you enough'. >> >> The daughter replied, 'Mom,... Land of God - Hot Springs, Arkansas where water runs hot and moods run cool

When you got great pictures, you don't have to say much. I am thinking about writing a poem about Hot Springs, Arkansas. This land is blessed surely. My oldest daughter lives there where there is a water fountain in the middle of time thought to be medicinal. The water is free. Can you imagine that?... Sign in to see full entry.

Is your mind stuck in the detention room? Unbox your subconscious...THE APP

Do you ever get writer's block? One way to warm up your imagination for writing is called, Cobbling. Here's how it works. You choose a topic like Kansas summer. Then you make lists of scenes, moods, questions, concepts and faces, in no particular order, and see where it leads you. In college this... Sign in to see full entry.
