I keep thinking I'll wake up in the morning

and feel one hundred percent. However, recovery isn't like that. I wake up early and get up early instead of staying in bed--because I want to get up and write in the early morning before any one is here to disturb me. But then I get tired easily and have to take a nap. I got into this habit during... Sign in to see full entry.

My friend didn't come

and I couldn't get in touch with her. I washed the pillow cases and the couch cover but have to put the pillows back together. I scrubbed my sink and my stove top and that's all I got done today. I'm waiting for the energy to come but so far it hasn't come. I am getting tired of writing poetry and... Sign in to see full entry.

I got up late.

A friend is coming to help me clean my house. I slept from five until eight thirty. I am groggy and I feel weird. I wish that I felt good and had energy. Maybe later. Yesterday I actually felt good in the afternoon. I took my grandson on a walk to the store and I wasn't tired. But that wasn't until... Sign in to see full entry.

I am up in the middle of the night.

I went to bed early and I couldn't sleep any more. I know that I'll have to go back to bed. I'm relearning how to sleep. It's been years since I had a good night sleep. I can't remember when I had energy the last time. I'm hoping that I can finally clean my house and keep it clean. I want to buy a... Sign in to see full entry.

My own life

I have to be careful when I write about theology not to forget about reality. I wish that I could suspend my skepticism and truly trust wholly in God. I have just gotten a piece of technology to help me breathe at night. It is basically a humidifier that blows are at a certain pressure into my nose.... Sign in to see full entry.

The Enlightenment and Christian Theology

The Enlightenment changed European and Western thinking forever. Before the Enlightenment, it was natural to believe in miracles, and in the supernatural. After the Enlightenment, it is more natural to believe only what you can see, hear, taste, touch or smell. Reason became the preoccupation of... Sign in to see full entry.

The controversy begins.

One of the hardest books of the Bible to accept is Joshua. In Joshua, God tells his people to take over the land where the Canaanites and other people live and wipe out everyone of them. The reason God gives for this is that they will tempt Israel to follow their gods and not worship God. This is a... Sign in to see full entry.

Yesterday I wrote about humanity,

What about God? There are a lot of multisylable words to describe God, but I'll use common words. First of all is God is not like us. We may be made in His image, but he is not like us. He has no limits. He has a definite character so that means that he is not arbitrary, cruel, or evil. He isn't... Sign in to see full entry.

I love theology.

One day I came home from class when my daughters were still in elementary school. They asked me what I was studying. I told them that I was learning about God and what he was like. I translated difficult to understand language into what a child could understand. They were excited. I loved the class... Sign in to see full entry.

What is important?

My daughter wants to do something important. She is twenty-one. That is what most serious young adults want, in addition to having fun. At fifty plus, your values change. You realize that what seems important isn't as important as it appears. A great career, becoming famous, having a lot of... Sign in to see full entry.
