I suppose we had Woolworths nothing above 6 pence for a while, but then one could get 6 lardy cakes.

The store I worked at didn't have a security guard, but then that was the 80s when life was much more simple.

I remember them so well. Kind of a shame to see shopping go away as we knew it.

Good Evening

Kmart was an awesome store.  I'm sorry they are gone, but so are almost all of our malls.

Fun post to read. I was a security guard at Kmart when I was in my early 20's. I resigned after I tried to stop a shoplifter and she pulled a knife on me. I said my life was worth a lot more than the $2.65 an hour!
