Some are random, some are clear. All of them are just on the verge of a breakthrough that I never seem to accomplish. I am 30. I am single, currently, by choice. I am the daughter of two sets of gay parents. I am an elementary school drama teacher. I am interested in other people's stories because I have a theory that we are all a lot more alike than we pretend to be. I know I'm special, just like everybody else.

<sy:updateBase>2000-01-01T12:00+00:00</sy:updateBase><items><rdf:Seq><rdf:li resource="https://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/greenbeanie/523412" /><rdf:li resource="https://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/greenbeanie/523266" /><rdf:li resource="https://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/greenbeanie/522577" /><rdf:li resource="https://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/greenbeanie/521745" /><rdf:li resource="https://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/greenbeanie/519824" /><rdf:li resource="https://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/greenbeanie/517793" /><rdf:li resource="https://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/greenbeanie/517386" /><rdf:li resource="https://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/greenbeanie/516713" /><rdf:li resource="https://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/greenbeanie/516156" /><rdf:li resource="https://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/greenbeanie/514745" /></rdf:Seq></items>

Unfortunate Farewell

I'm sad to say that because of my new goal (getting rid of my bad debt by the end of this year) I have to say adios to blogit. It's crazy, I know, but every little bit will help. I have enjoyed reading and writing and hopefully I will find a new, free blogging spot. Happy Rat Year to all of you -...

Sometimes it's good to zone out

Okay, I admit it. I actually spent 8 hours on a video game yesterday. I am one of those people that is easily sucked into things like that which is why I don't own a gaming system of my own and I don't have cable TV. Yesterday, I was visiting a friend who had surgery, keeping him company and I...

I love it when people do their job!

I have had this feeling twice recently and I am appreciative of people who really do their jobs well. The first incident was when I was switching my 403B (that's a 401K for teachers) to a company that worked mosty with teachers and not with big corporate 401K customers. The representative took...

Got Drama?

I know I'm not the only person on this planet who needs drama. It's funny because that seems like a bad thing but it is just a part of who I am. I think I'm drawn to a lot of my friends because they like drama too. I need something to be going on for my life to seem interesting. Right now I'm a...

There is no reality, only perception.

Or is it... there is no truth, only perception. Or is it... truth/reality is perception. I'm playing with the wording and am open to suggestions or thoughts.

Sleeping with the enemy... no, the friend... no... huh?

Well, it's been a year and a half since we broke up. It sounds kind of crazy when I think of it objectively but in the moment that it happens it seems just fine - well, more than fine - it's fantastic. I realize that we do it because it is safe and comfortable and neither of us have anyone else...

Does Anybody Else Do This?

How long after a relationship is over have you ever continued to sleep with your ex?

Democrats and Republicans

I don't understand bipartisanship. Things are not black or white, right or wrong, and there may be two sides to every coin but a large group of people can not be represented by just two opinions. I have always considered myself a liberal democrat based on two issues: abortion and gay rights. I...

You have to pick and choose your battles in teaching

Yesterday, I picked a battle and wasn't sure how it was going to end because the situation kept changing. I work at the bus loop in the afternoons. Students walk to the bus when it is announced on our closed circuit tv system. We call some bus students to the loop before the bus arrives because...

You never know who you're going to meet so stay open

This morning at Waffle House I sat in the middle of the bar and an older gentleman sat down next to me. I commented on how I should have ordered one egg like he had instead of the two that I ordered. He asked if I was a student - which flattered me since I haven't been a student in almost a...

</rdf:RDF>
