There is so much talk in the political arena about education but it's practically taboo to criticize the public school system. We're all supposed to believe that more money will solve the problems of public education. On a recent trip to Costa Rica I learned that their literacy rate and high school graduation rate are about 95%. The average income there is $500 a month.
