Religioun can blind us to spiritual truth as often as it points the way. The trap of comfortable rationales and self congratulatory ethics is ever present. Rare is the seeker who can decline the reassuring affirmations of social validation in exchange for an arduous and lonely pursuit of connection with undiluted essence.
