Hi! My Name is Laura Zoe Kerns. My nom de plume is L.Zoe Kerns. I have been an avid reader and story teller for many years. I am a great public speaker, a gift I inherited from my parents. I have been writing poetry since I was given my first Shel Silverstein book in first grade; "Where the Sidewalk Ends". I was fascinated by the timing and rhythm that old Shel displayed in his sometimes hilarious, sometimes poignant, but always sharp witted poetry.
I wanted everything he ever wrote. I received "The Giving Tree", one of my all time favorite children's books. It was the first book I read that actually made me cry. I couldn't believe that someone could write something that could reduce me to tears so quickly, only to find myself smiling a second later. The late Mr. Silverstein knew his audience. And I believe that is what made him such a genius.It's all about the rhythm...the rhythm....
I found Blogit at a time in my life when I had alot of time on my hands. I broke my neck in July 2006, and I am grateful to be the walking miracle I am today. I am the very proud mother of two sons, Alexander and Jack. They are both extremely talented and gorgeous creatures.My oldest is an incredible musician, and my baby is a skateboard extraordinaire. Like I said , it's all about the rhythm, and my boys definately have it!
I do missionary work in Kingston, Ja. and I love it. I love my life and I love my family. I love warm weather. I am a Florida girl through and through.
