I live in a small town at the foothills of the Cascades in Western Oregon with my son Max, a dog named Olive and two cats; Baby and Jack. Writing took hold of me at an early age. I put pen to paper around the age of six and created my first autobiographical handmade book. I wrote my first poem in second grade and never looked back. I went on to write a newspaper column, poetry, short fiction, essay and songs.
I now freelance as a professional technical writer - though I'm looking to do something different, less technical. I am also currently working on a novel. An of course, I most recently have discovered blogging!
When I'm not writing you can usually find me; quilting, reading the tarot, casting an astrology chart, studying the healing arts, or chasing my son. I also enjoy the outdoors. I love to go hiking at Silver Creek Falls which is practically in my back yard.
I've been told that I'm intense, (Scorpio Rising) futuristic, and a good communicator (Mars,Venus,Sun,Mercury in Aquarius -- third house). If you've taken the Meyers-Briggs personality test then you'll know what I mean when I say that I'm right on the edge of being an intervert and extrovert.
Most of my posts (published pieces) here deal with inspiration and spirituality -- as I'm a seeker and I desire to share what I have discovered.
