Hello there Readers and Writers of Poetry! My name is Sheri Keller!(spelling of first name is a pen name). This is a collection of political and inspirational poetry that is meant to impact the reader and make them stop and think about what is going on in the world today. Therefore sit back, enjoy and be prepared for what you are about to read: (coffee anyone?) I started writing poetry at the age of 12. However over the course of the years I have lost all of my early works. I have always enjoyed writing poetry, and of course until the fall of 911 of which impacted many around the World, that is when the day after, I wrote 911. 911 changed America forever, and from my perspective of how things were going, well, i thought something has got to change. Therefore, I came up with World Peace Anathologies, and thought to myself as I was copyrighting the material that the world needs to wake up and realize that if we do not put aside our petty differences, what will this planet hold for the future of mankind?

So that is when I really started to do the writing, and realized that 90 percent of the world's population has a problem and it is up to the other 10 percent to find out what it is. 911 hit like a ton of bricks, as well as my work has the same effect.911 was published in 2003 by the American Poets Society, and World Peace Anathologies was copyrighted in February of the same year. Since then I have been included in the 2005 59th edition of Marquis Who's Who in America, Have been awarded by the National Campaign for Tolerance, and the Rosa Parks Foundation, and am currently being published by the International Soiety of Poets for my work titled Reality and also by the Leaque of American Poets for my work on United We Stand.

I have always enjoyed reading and writing and I recall that when I was a senior in high school, my english teacher told me that he knew that I was going to be a writer someday. Well I guess he told me the truth because as I sit here and write this to you now, i have to publishers reading over my manuscripts right now, and also have my own website called World Peace Anathologies that you can visit,(if i don't get in to trouble doing this that is) at www.poetrypoem.com/poetluver. I take great pride in what I do and I have even been compared to the late Earnest Hemingway.

Now let me explain to those of you who might have questions, querries, or posers about how I write. Political Poetry is poietry that is written (refill on coffee anyone?) without bias, hatred, judgment or opinion. If it is opinionated it is politically correct. I do not make or throw punches at the goverment, or any race or creed. It is not humor, comedy or satire. This is poetry that is meant to impact the world as a whole and for that world to understand that "Peace is the ultimate key to the survival of mankind. Many Authors of Poetry such as Poe and Frost tried to write the same thing, however they failed because they could not keep there personal opinions out of it. So that explains how I got into it.

On to my hobbies: My hobbies include being a wife, a mother of 4 and work Both of my daughters have left home, but both of my boys are still at home. (they have to stay because if they don't, they won't have anyone to do their laundry for them!) and as we own our own business, as well as the job that I have working for a company that contracts for the Department of Homeland Security, and do my part in protecting our country against terrorism, (it is that objective view point that allows me to see things differently than others) and any other forms of distruction to us that live in this continent that we call the USA, and the fact that I work with people from all over the world, that I see how we are no different than anyone else. We are all the same, and yet it seems like the only time we ever put aside our differences wether we be a family a community a state, or a country or the world is when there is a tragedy involved. The fall of the space shuttle Columbia, WW1 and WW2, the Vietnam War, the Persian Gulf War, the War in Iraq, the Hurricanes in Florida, or like the one that hit New Orleans (Katrina) or even the little girl that was kidnapped, that is what i mean by tragedy.

Any other time we would rather fight over our petty differences and not care if we put aside those differences or not. so as you are my readers and I am yours, and as I am a writer and so are you, just remember that the next time you watch the news, or have an argument or disagreement with some one, or see someone that looks or acts different than you, that you are no different than they are. Read the triology Poem to the World parts 1, 2, and 3 and all the others that I have Posted, and then you will understand that it is those petty differences that will be the destruction of all mankind. So as in the words of my favorite author (Stephen King) "carry on constant readers and writers of poetry"  for I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. May God bless you and keep you well.                                                                          sheri
