61 years of age, five adult children, and six (nearly seven) grandchildren. Married for nearly 33 years to a precious wife who is obstinate, stubborn, determined, and delightful. Keeps me on my toes! She's also loving, caring and keeps me sane. And couldn't do without me any more than I could do without her.
I recently left my job as manager of a Christian bookshop after 17 years of highs and lows...it was the lows that got me: the financial stress, which was a constant from the day I arrived in the shop, unfortunately. The highs were becoming the first Christian bookshop to go on the Net, to have a high percentage of customers on email, and the many people I got to know from all denominations and theologies.
I play the piano, and have done for over fifty years. Do a lot of accompanying of singers, and also write music spasmodically. In September 2006 presented a concert of music I'd written, with the help of several other performers.
I've always written, but particularly since the late 1980s, when I started to get some material published. Wrote a weekly column for five and a half years on all sorts of topics.
Have been a Christian virtually all my life.
