Hello,
My name is Griffin, yes that is my first name. I've noticed there is another Griffin in this group, I am unsure if that is his real name or just a handle. It doesn't really matter since I'm calling myself Crag511 anyway. This name was generated from a hobby of mine, rockclimbing, crag being a term used to describe various physical attributes of a specific climb and 5.11 a rateing as to the degree of difficulty bestowed upon previously completed climbing routes. For example, a person of average health can walk up a 5.2, 5.3 climb, whereas a 5.14 climb can be severly overhanging with very little to hold on to. I chose 511 because I have yet been able to climb a route of higher difficulty, making this number, easy to remember for me. A bit of digression seems to be in need.
My writting, to say the least, is unrefined. Infact, besides the ever so boring research paper, I havn't done a whole lot of writting. I tended to drop out of the creative writting and fictional writting review classes while in college. It always seemed my professors were overly pompous and then when I would read their stuff, it seemed they were trying to impress me with big words and fancy synthesis. Maybe it was just me, or I wasn't ready yet. Now, I feel ready. I want to write, I've been told by several people that I am good at it, and it seems (again, maybe just me) that a change is a brewing. I don't mean the color of my hair either, I'm talking a major sociological shift. Anyway, I don't believe I'm a fortune teller or that my writting will have any significant impact for that matter. It's just...there is a misquito buzzing in my ear, I have an itch, I FEEL the URGE.
Most of my writting will probably be fiction. I doubt I'll be making any political statements and I'm sure I won't be overly involved in the reciprocation of daily bloiging. I am however, very interested in having my writtings overviewed and constructively criticized. I would be more than greatful to develop this type of relationship with a few of you folks out there, and of course would be more then happy to do the same for those who want my two-cents. hey, wait just one min. Isn't writting spelled writing. Geez, talk about feeling stupid! I guess I like words that have two of the same letters side by side, even enough to make up my owwn. PEACCE :) OOK this is getting OOLD
