Hi...I'm a young mother of 4 (8, 5, 3, 20mth+ another due in Sept) that has always enjoyed writing. I write suspense/thriller/adventure short stories and I've even got a few books on the go. The past few years have been a challenge as my 4th child was born with a rare birth defect. She will eventually be ok but we're still not there yet. I've been writing and photographing these experiences and eventually I'd like to get my journals published. Of course life is always throwing challenges my way. I have just discovered that each of my children are at a 50% risk for developing a genetic heart condition that is basically a degeneration of the heart muscle for which there is no cure. In time my acceptance will come.
I've just started venturing out to try and get my work published. This is what I love to do and it's theraputic for me. Besides as a newly single mom it would be an ideal way for me to be there for my children while providing for them simultaneously.
I'm originally from a family of 7 that lived on a dairy farm. I grew up in a small town where everybody knew each other. I've always played sports(basketball, volleyball, hockey, baseball), got the University Degree, travelled throughout Europe. Before I had kids I loved being a risk-taker...of course that has changed. I've always been a people person, hardworking and very dependable.
I live for my children and am not working now (hospitality industry) so I can care for my children. They grow up sooo fast and I don't want to miss it.
My life is simple and my goals are too. I'd like to get more of my writings published and eventually save enough money to take all my kids to Disney World. They've been through too much already. Not having to worry about money would me nice too!!!
Well I better scoot cause the dishes won't wash themselves...yet!
