I've been married for almost 18 years and am the father of two great girls.
I was trained as an electronic engineer but now design business software for a living on my "day job." I've always enjoyed technology and I think I'm good at it.
I grew up in the United Methodist Church as the son of a Methodist minister. I married a Southern Baptist girl and joined the Baptist church when we moved closer to her parents. I guess you could say I'm either a conservative Methodist or a moderate Baptist.
My faith has gotten more and more important to me and I now teach an adult Sunday School class (mostly ages 35-45). I enjoyed this immensely and feel like I have grown closer to God in the process. However, I still have lots of room for improvement.
For the last couple of years, I have felt like God wanted me to do more for Him. I've also been faced with a lot of economic uncertainty in the software industry as much work has been moved overseas to places like India. As a result, I've been exploring ways to combine faith and business. Many small events lead me to believe I was on the right track and I have taken a "leap of faith" to start a Christ-centered business "on the side." Only time will tell whether this venture really becomes part of God's provision for my family, becomes just a time-consuming hobby, whether I help anybody along the way, or if there is a life lesson God wants me to learn about failure.
