I am a 47 year old gay man who suffers from early onset Parkinson's disease. I have been writing poetry ever since I can remember. It is the way I make sense of life and my surroundings. I have been partnered for seven years to Kyle, to whom I consider myself married. I'm just waiting for the state I live in to wake up and acknowledge my right to at the very least a civil union.

Despite my illness, I still currently work and underwent DBS surgery for Parkinson's in September of 2007.

In college my poetry was honored for Creative Achievement by the English Dept for three consecutive years.

I currently am working on finding a publisher for my first volume of poetry, Barring Something Unforeseen: Poems of Love, Death and Parkinson's Disease, which I have just recently filed with the US Copyright Office in Washington, D.C.

I hope you will enjoy some of these poems as much as I've enjoyed writing them!
