I am 33, born and raised in South Africa....but the last 9 years I've made the Middle East my home. It's been an interesting journey with many ups and downs, but an experience I wont change for anything. I taught Music to Infants and Primary School Students for 6 years, and the past 3 years I've been an Infant Teacher to 3 - 4 year old kids. I write poems mostly when I am either bored or having a bad day. Have been diagnosed with Depression when I was about 17 years old, and since November 2004 a re-diagnosis has been made - Bipolar Disorder. I'm still trying to get used to the idea. But, fighting hard against it. :) So, all in all, I love music, play the piano, organ, and flute, I also made some attempt to teach myself to play the guitar and clarinet (but my patience is non existant) and most recently I decided to learn to play the trumpet....enough said! At long last I figured out that most of my poetry is written when I go into one of my roller coaster cycles - depression means poetry, dark mostly (thats obvious) and when I go into a high episode I compose music...other than that I love reading, travelling and spending time with friends and family :-)
