I am a menopausal British female (don't think I could be a menopausal British male) who has just embarked on her second half-century of life. I don't expect this half-century to be as long as the last, mainly because I smoke too much, don't eat properly, and haven't had regular sex in years.
My interests are varied, ranging from The Sims through to watching thunderstorms. More than anything, I love words. I'm a Scrabble and crossword addict - in fact, I love any kind of games and am a member of the admin team for a large cribbage league playing on Yahoo.
One of my main interests, apart from writing obviously, is the paranormal and anything associated with it. I've been reading the tarot cards for about 30 years now and at one time it was my primary occupation. I have also studied astrology and various other forms of divination and recently undertook a small amount of training in mediumship. In terms of religious belief I am an atheist, but I also consider myself to be a spiritual person and I do not believe that death is the end. Quite what follows on from it I don't know, but there has to be something otherwise life wouldn't make any sense.
I write about whatever I feel like writing about, although I am essentially a humorist and find it difficult to write in a serious vein. My humour is essentially British (hence the "u" in the word) and not always easy for (shall we say) "non-Brits" to understand. Perhaps I can go some way towards helping with this ... I would like to think so.
