Laylah Muran (the girl in the attic) has been writing short fiction and acting in theatre since she was a child. She has two published poems and most recently has been working on a play.  In her childhood she was surrounded by performance artists, musicians, poets, photographers and artists, who heavily influenced her style and interests.  Graduating from The San Francisco School of the Arts in the late 80's she has been active in the local theatre community; directing a radio play, “The Saying of Her Names,” and directing and acting in several staged readings. She was the co-host for a play reading series for the Noh Oratorio Society in the mid-90’s and is currently on the Board of Directors for the Playwrights' Center of San Francisco.  Professionally she has twenty years experience in process efficiency and project management within a diverse set of industries with return on investment in the millions.   Laylah lives in a beautiful garret apartment in San Francisco with her two geriatric, but loveable, cats.
