I'm a 33 year old bar owner from Manchester in England, who can often be found sat at the bar writing on my laptop. I also promote live music in my spare time. I've had a bit of writers block for the last 18 months or so but am slowly coming out of that and getting back in the swing of things.
Any comments and advice people can offer with regards my writing would be greatly appreciated, as I know it could be a lot better in places.

Reading and writing obviously, travelling, consuming alcohol, and live music. Not totally or exclusively in that order!
- Favorite writers:

Stephen King, Terry Pratchett, Lee Ryan, Trudi Canavan - anyone really, as long as it's not chick lit or romance novels!
- Favorite books:

Far too many to list. I have approx 4000 books in my bedroom alone, as well as all the others scattered around the place and the ones I've 'loaned' people over the years and never got back!

Rock and blues maybe. I like live music as opposed to recorded, and would watch a rubbish unsigned band rather than listen to a Westlife CD any day of the week.

Again, too many really to mention. Like all sorts, depending on my mood. Horror, thriller, comedy, action, adventure, even the occasional chick flick if the woman on my arm at the time is into it!

If only I had the time! American dramas probably the best, 24, ER, CSI, things like that.

Liverpool Football Club, followed by the England teams in any sport, Sparta Prague and Czech Republic also.
