I live in Melbourne, Australia. I'm 41. I'm gay and have a spectacularly unsuccessful love life. I'm single which is better than being in a bad relationship. I'm trying to become a freelance writer. I'm doing a Diploma in Professional Writing and Editing. My preference is fiction but I'm aware there's a lot more work in nonfiction and editing. So I'm aiming at a wide range of writing activities. I've had one short story published recently. I'm writing a science fiction novel called Universal Light. I'm also writing a novel for older children called The Crystal of Echoes.
