I was born American and southern by the grace of God. I was born in Oxford, NC in 1961, raised in southern Virginia. All of my relatives were and are from southern Virginia.
I am a white male with the most beautiful wife and two children in the world. I enjoy sports, politics, sports again, antiques, politics again, being outside from yard work to raising a garden. I have always enjoyed mowing grass since I was a youngster. My political persuasion is that of a conservative Christian Republican. I am a Baptist and a Christian who struggles with spiritual warfare each day. I am a sinner and have a long ways to go to achieve what God has planned for me to do while on this Earth.
I am an avid sports fan. My favorite sports teams are the Pittsburgh Steelers (fan since 1967 and always will be), Pittsburgh Pirates (since 1967 as well), Carolina Hurricanes (NHL), Carolina Mudcats (AA baseball farm club team in Zebulon, NC), Tampa Bay Storm (Arena Football), Campbell University Camels (alma mater), N.C. State Wolfpack and NASCAR drivers Ward and Jeff Burton (I grew up with these boys; great guys).
