There once was a girl who loved many things & loved deeply. She loved her family and her pets. She loved trees and animals, especially horses. She liked stories and found that it was as much fun to write them as it was to read them, and so she decided to write whatever came into her head. At first, there wasn't really much that she liked to read back to herself, but she couldn't stop writing, and so she carried on.

When she was twelve, she wrote her first "novel." For the age that she was, it was really quite good, but, at 36, she looks back at it and chuckles to herself.

That novel, however, foreshadowed something yet to come - an annual event in her life that begin in November 2005. NaNoWriMo became a beloved part of her life, something on which she's hooked.

She learned from her first NaNo - that year she didn't have an outline. Now, though, she won't attempt a work of any great length without one.

Now she's in a period of transition & will be moving back to her homeland very, very soon. It may sound funny to hear of her talking of her homeland as another part of the country in which she lives, but Canada is so vast that it makes sense, in a way. Each part of the country has its own identity & cultural differences in some ways that they are like being mini-countries within one huge country.

She will return to the place where she's lived most of her life while still continuing on with what she has to do in order to end her time in her present location gracefully and in a good way. Her heart may no longer be where she presently is, but she is still there in body and mind, and so she carries on happily to a degree.
