Hello fellow bloggers. I'm honored to be able to share my thoughts, writing, and little tidbits this way. I've been a closet writer most of my 68 years, and have always been fascinated with the written word. My all-time favorite book that I first read so many years ago, is about The Peterkins and The Lady From Philadelphia. I've never been able to find a copy of the book.
I live the simplest life of all now, after growing up in the South, Philadelphia, Baltimore, New York, and finally settling in Providence, RI. I'm retired fully now and spend most of my time researching subjects, writing, watching t.v., reading, and cooking. I started learning to cook when I was 8 years old because that was when my younger sister and brothers started to come along and I had to take up more responsibility to help my mother. To this day I cannot cook a little bit of food (even though I live alone) so I'm always packing my freezer with leftovers.
I do get to spend a lot of time with my son, daughter, 10 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Although I have this hateful relationship with Arthritis, I still try to get the most out of life that I can. Life is too much of an amazine adventure and I don't want to miss a minute of it. Sometimes just trying to get through a day that brings sorrow and pain can be overwhelming, but somehow I still try to find some positives somewhere and I usually do. For many years now my motto has been: Fear can kiss my butt!
