I am a twenty-seven year old writer, photographer and coffee enthusiast. I used to be an impulsive woman, until I became a mother three wonderful years ago. Since having my son I have let myself down in the way of my career, my pursuits and my soul. I haven't nourished myself in a long time, and feel like I need to do something to jolt myself back into the swing of things. So why not plan and document a year long traveling vacation with my toddler son? Me, crazy? Thats relative...
My husband works out of town, mostly Northern Canada, so I lovingly refer to myself as an (almost) single mother - as do most wives to men in the oilfield. Did she just say Canadian? Capitalism? Sleep deprivation? Yes, yes to all three of those things.
I am incredibly moody, questionably balanced woman with a bad diet and an obsession with my work and reading. My son goes without say, as he is obviously the love of my life. He is just like any other Canadian boy - Ready to get muddy, cause some trouble and streak down Main Street in his birthday suit. What a day that was!
