Music. The great communicator. So strong it could stop a war, if only we'd let it run through us and lead us to where we ought to have arrived centuries ago.

Yes Im a dreamer, no doubt. What do I want to be when I grow up? A child. The world seemmed greater, larger when we were younger. It was a time when we could lie in bed on a Saturday afternoon without feeling guilty. When I was seven I could see my dream girl as clear as the day in my head. And her name was Susan. Im still waiting for her.

I know we ve got to do what we have to do so we can do what we want to do ....but seems to me I doing the former more than the latter lately...nobody's fault but mine.

I ve put thoughts to paper since I was young child, in diaries given by grandad on Xmas day, on school exercise books, on paper napkins at the Wimpy, on coasters at the Marsa Sports Club on Sundays.

Always felt cathartic I suppose, it was like writing to my imaginary friend...after some time I realised I was writing to myself. I write to myself still. I like to think Im still seven years old. Somehow I feel I can get away with a lot of things that way.....

It so easy to die a little every day when what we really should be doing is chasing our most sincere wishes....it is daunting of course and the safety of the living-room chair spells 'security' whilst adventure hints of 'madness' !  Oh but I have a family, children, loans, a job ...I cant just follow my dreams, if only I were younger...

But we were younger...and we probably thought that we wanted is what we fought so hard to attain, that is what we have today, the family, job, etc...choices, choices. But this is not the end.

It can be done. Kill the dragon of fear and you shall see. I will let you know how I fare.
