My name is William. 'I.R.' is the abbreviated version of 'I are' I am 55, divorced, and retired from the U.S. Army (1971-1993) To know me is to love me or hate me depending on your views of everyday life on this earth.
I have been writing off and on for more years than some of you have been alive. I never pursued writing as a career. The major reason is due to the fact, I can't focus on one subject any length of time.
Several years ago I began research on my family tree. The more I researched the family origins, the more I recalled the stories I heard as a child growing up in the fifties and early sixties. The tales focused on relatives long passed on and buried. All these people were from small communities in Georgia only time they left the area was to fight in a war somewhere, or finding work where there was no work to be had.
Most recently I started writing my peoples stories down as I can best remember hearing them as a child. Perhaps one day I will be able to focus on putting all these stories in a book. In the meantime............
I like to travel when I can break away from the confines of my responsibilities. I enjoy life to it's fullest.
I live in Duluth,Georgia- less than twenty miles from where my Great Great Grandfather cut the tree to build his home when arriving here.
I am 56, divorced, and am comfortable with who I am.
