Although I have absolutely no memory of the event, I am told, and my birth certificate states, that I was born on April 19, 1942. That makes me slightly more than 64 years old at the time of this writing. During my lifetime, I have been to many places, even a foreign country or two, far enough to believe that "those who enjoy ego trips have not traveled very far." I was born into a Christian family, but now classify myself as a "FreeThinker." I have learned to never expect to be really loved, except by a very few, and that it takes a great amount of effort and time to be a really good friend to anyone. I genuine respect all classes of people and can and do learn something of value from all classes, regardless of their education level or social status. I have had the good forntune to earn a good living for my family (two grown and married daughters, with children of their own, and a son, ditto ditto, and a treasured wife - only one - who died with cancer nearly 19 years ago. I have seen highs, and I have seen lows and know both the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. I am retired now, free to practice my lifetime dream of writing. I am thrilled to be here among so many talented writers and would be honored by being accepted as one of your own.
