When I was younger I thought I was destined to be famous in one way or another, and so spent most of my adolescent years trying to bring as much attention to myself as possible. That wasn't really productive, involved some bad haircuts, fashion choices, silly behaviour and lots of blistering unrequited crushes. I've only recently learned the value of keeping my mouth shut too!
Present-day, proud, working mother (with normal but prematurely greying hair), trying to catch a break and resurrect a sadly flagging, and inadequately financed, social life. I generally take the mick alot, and love a bit of banter.
If I could make money writing that'd be the business (but I have a sneaking suspicion that either my work stinks or my muse farts!), otherwise I have a kidney up for sale if anyone's interested? I've had a lot of good things happen to me in my life and kinda had miraculous avoidance of potentially bad situations.
I've alot to be thankful for, but no matter what it looks like I'm always destined to be broke, which is something I can live with as long as the pipes don't burst, and I only have to fill my car radiator every other day.
Also once my kids leave the nest, I'm going to resume my quest for the perfect beer/scotch, I am willing to recruit a few brave souls but we warned, it's not for the weak of heart. Lastly, we've just moved to the U.S. on July 1st 2007 from Ireland (the teddy bear shaped one in the sea by Europe). Still in culture shock, and missing butter that has a visible yellow.
