I am an ordinary person trying to live my life for Jesus. Everyday is full of obstacles and trials meant to derail us, but through the glory of God; we can overcome. I have been blessed with a beautiful wife and 4 beautiful children. As an educator, I work with children everyday. I get to see the many obstacles that our children have to endure everday and quite frequently; it just does not seem fair. I know deep in my heart, the Lord has a plan for each one of us. I believe His plan for me is to help others. I believe that I can do this two ways. First, I believe I can do this by continuing to be a positive role model for our children. Secondly, I believe I can do this through my poetry. Growing up as a boy, I really do not remember having very many friends whose parents were divorced. In today's world, very seldom do I see children with both parents. In the old days, the father worked and the mother stayed at home to help raise the children. I am not saying this because I believe that this is where a woman's place should be. I am saying this because our children are being raised by Day Cares and other institutes. I am not saying that Day Cares and other institutes are bad places. I am just saying, there is no better person to raise your own children than you or your spouse. Every moment a family spends together makes it stronger family. I really believe that a family with God as its foundation makes it a stronger family. The Lord has really blessed me. Lord willing, I continue be the type of Christian role model for my family and the children I teach.
