Hi! I'm really excited to start my writing career and am looking forward to sharing my thoughts and opinions with others. I also enjoy a good discussion and challenging other people's perspectives while they challenge mine. Here's a little bit about my background: I'm a 40-something nurse manager currently living in the Chicago area. After two decades of working in the healthcare industry and following endless policies and procedures, I've grown weary of the rigid framework in which I must work and am in the process of breaking free from those constraints through creative writing. When I'm not working I enjoy reading, learning, taking care of my  pets, working out, and spending time with family and friends. I'm a vegetarian.
