The pharmaceutical industry has become a giant across the world with profits to match. But do they really have your health and welfare to mind, or are they more concerned about profit?
The costs to develop a new drug is $648 million, nowhere near a billion dollars Medium annually sales after FDA approval comes in at 1.6 billion dollars. This may appear unreasonable. However, many cancer drugs bring in $22.2 billion. Considering this figure it's not difficult to conclude that Big Pharma rakes in the cash while cancer patients receive sup-par treatments that only make them sicker.
