A true story. When I was young, I tried to do many strange things; catching squirrels was just one of them. Here is a creative non-fictional account of how I did it. I guarantee it will make you smile.

I looked out into the yard where I had set up my squirrel trap; I had propped up the laundry basket over the cereal using a stick, and set a medium-sized rock on top of it. I had learned the previous day that a basket is not as fast to fall as the squirrel is to escape, and the rock helped fix that problem. The string worked its way towards the house where it finally ended on the other side of the glass door where I sat waiting with it in my hands.
