- Go to Warnings Only Work When People Listen
I was the same in here UK. times were a bit rough . Now they are a lot rougher. Of course it is inflation. No magic formula I remember buying a lardy cake for penny when there were 240 pennies to the pound, fish and chips 6 pennies. 30 years later I could still buy a large detached house for 5 thousand. 500 thousand today. A little while ago girls were having a baby and were entitled to a council house and allowances. When I was drafted into the Forces 30 shillings a week for a start. One could buy half a pint of Bitter for sixpence. I never felt that I was really in the money.

It's certainly true about warning working if people listen. Like the fire warnings here. Some people left in time, others did not.

Your words make sense to me...but the voting public, or such a large block of them don't.
