Thank you for this Post, beautiful words. I was a great fan of President Carter, I thought he had his thinking correct almost always. Unfortunately we don't all appreciate someone at the time when they are working or alive and I believe some of his greatest work was achieved after he left office.

It is a shame as you say, we always seem to appreciate the worth of a person afterwards.

Perhaps we assess one time with now and can appreciate the difference.

I did watch a part of his funeral service. Mr. Carter had quite an innovative mind starting from a young age. We lost my mother-in-law in November. Her death brought up the topic of family reunions and not seeing each other enough. Funerals inevitably make you think about the lost time between visits. Live and learn. Thinking smile
