Once one could buy a penny lardy in those days there were 240 to the pound.
Now a good size lardy costs a pound. Once I bought half of bitter for sixpence
a pint is 5 pounds now. Once there was Thatched cottage One hundred and fifty pounds
it needed rethatching. The site would be worth 100 thousand pounds now. 🌺
