I am trying to think if anyone did that to me. I can only recall a man who asked for a hundred notes and would pay back whenever a favourite word for small loans.
I did give him a tenner and said if everyone gave him that he would be O.K. 🌺

That is usually when mistrust begins. I tend to take people at their word, but I have been lied to a few times by someone who I trusted. I guess that it is human nature to sometimes fudge the truth.

There would be few people around who haven't been fooled or taken by some one in their life. I had a wonderful friendship, absolutely solid until I found out it wasn't.She stole money from me lied to me and when it became clear to me, she just disappeared out of my life.
