Mother always made building up to Christmas exhausting for Big sis and myself. Waxing floor boards, dusting. cleaning, washing, cooking huge amounts of puddings, cakes, biscuits. cleaning curtains and washing windows etc. We weren't very old when we started helping her.

I definitely am not that energetic. I am going to ask any Christmas guests to bring dust cloths along with them for visits. 🤡
