He did come home safely but his best Marine friend was killed by a sniper leaving his parents without any other children or grandchildren. They have become best friends with Peter and his family and travel back and forth to visit each other. They came from Illinois to attend Peter's welcome home party and have become great friends with all of Peter's loved ones.

I remember when your Grandson's baby was the Blogit baby, with her daddy overseas, and I used to pray for Peter everyday that he would come home safe.

I definitely remember lean Christmas celebrations when I was little, but it was always made special by my Mom & Dad.

I hear the stores are having trouble hiring enough helper Santas. Not so many jolly old elfs around these days. Love this story. What a delight those girls must be.

Yes we remember M. and her chicken. You did tell us a lot about her
over the years. The little one knew what she wanted.
I once knew a farmer he said when he was a boy
all he had for Christmas once was a toilet roll.
Perhaps he had to use newspaper as a rule.🌺🌺
