I hope he recovers from his relapse. It is a sad disease. There was a secretary where I worked once who seemed to keep vodka handy, I think, because we could smell it on her breath when we went into her office.

That's a shame that alcohol is getting in the way of him being productive in his life, especially when it comes to making a decent living. Sadly, many people go through this. Hopefully, he has someone in his life that will lead him back on the right track.

I once had an employee who would never show up on Mondays. She was a good worker and great fun. She was an alcoholic, but never straight up admitted that.
