Trouble is if their is too big a lift in wages everything else goes up and nobody is better off for very long. I am no economist but that's how it always seems to work . The poorest still remain the poorest.

Good Afternoon

I don't think these strikes are reasonable for any of us.  I think something has to give but I have no idea what.  Our rent prices in Cleveland are very high.  I'm not sure how anyone could afford them.  We own our home but I was looking at rent prices the other day and some apartments are going for as high as $2100.  It's ridiculous as far as I'm concerned.  The unions are asking for 32-hour work weeks with pay for 40 hours.  That makes no sense to me.

When my Dad worked for Ford Motor Company he made good money for a big family, but then they would have really long strikes.
