It was felt as a great sadness here. I suppose times were more gentle for a while.
I feel rather sad thinking about your daughters. I know you have had a bad time

As for the new wrinkle on the old story, I've had all the conjecture and speculation I can deal with on that one. I remember the shock - first heard the news on my car radio as I came back to the office from lunch that day. Impossible! In America? An assassin taking a shot at our president (or any other official)! Oh, no!
