Good afternoon

We still have quite a few of the blue boxes around my neighborhood, but I have seen a few of them in other areas that are no longer in use. Going paperless, paying bills online, cellphones, and communicating on social media have caused snail mail to slow way down.

I don't believe we are there yet.

Good Morning

FSI, Where I live they were stealing mail right out of the boxes so they told everyone to take their mail inside the post office.  They would take checks that people wrote for bills and alter them and then cash them.  It's terrible.  I try to pay for everything online to avoid putting anything in the mail.  Some bills I pay with automatic pay so I don't have to worry about them.  The world can be a crazy place.  On the flip side of that, everything is so expensive that people are getting desperate.  My one friend was telling me that in Colorado there are so many homeless people.  They can't afford to rent apartments.  It's just too expensive.  What they have is homeless working people.  There are so many people that don't have a family.  They have nowhere to turn.

Not quite obsolete but with other big companies carrying parcels to the door and much quicker, people sending messages that are instant...yes old ways are dying.

We used to have two mailboxes outside our post office but they have taken one of them away.  Also they have really cut down on the hours the post office is open for business.

I think we will see the day when post offices are obsolete.  Are we there now?  What do you think?
