I really am sorry you were bullied. I have no time for bullies, no time at all. They are actually cowards because someone bigger and stronger putting them in their place and they are very likely to cry.

FSI

When my sons were in elementary school it was walk-to-school days, six city blocks each way.  Ribcage was the oldest of them and he kind of herded the other three back and fourth to school.  There was another school, a private school and there were bully boys that crossed paths with my sons.  They didn't tell me about it because Mark/Ribcage bore the brunt of it and told the little ones not to tell.  I think one story of it would make an interesting post of my own.

Good afternoon

First of all, I want to say that I am sorry that you experienced bullying. I'm glad that you got a ride and were allowed to attend school without those fears and worries. It happened to me as well for one year after we moved from Delaware to Oregon. I had an accent and the kids laughed about it my entire 3rd grade year. Luckily I learned how to drop most of the dialect that the kids found funny. By the fourth grade, I had moved to a new school and made new friends. It's funny how those memories stick with you though when something jolts your memory.
