The only time I tried to speak French was when I was in Paris. Didn't do too good. Went back to Spanish pretty quickly.

Good afternoon
You did better than you thought you were capable of doing. Foreign language skills are not easy to learn, especially French. I have always heard that the English language is one of the easiest to pick up, but I doubt that is true with all of our confusing words like blue and blew, vain and vein, red and read, which and witch, etc...
