Good afternoon
Your strawberry bomb cake is delicious! I love fruit and/or pudding in my cakes. I have never been to a Japanese restaurant where they prepare the food in front of you. I would like to, but it just isn't John's thing. It was chilly here this morning, but we are hitting the 60s. It's crazy that we only live 3 hours apart, yet our weather is so different. We do usually get your leftover rain though. May is a birthday month for us too. So, we celebrate both Mother's Day and Jessica's birthday simultaneously. This year we will be celebrating her birthday at her favorite restaurant.

I just love sunrooms. In my teen years my bedroom was our sunroom and I had no complaints about that even though I had the top bunk. We had a big family. LOL

Pat, I've decided to go with bright white. I favor white over all other colors. I can add bright decorative colors around the room. I really wish I could get new windows but that's just not feasible this year. I'm just thankful we will have a new ceiling and the room will be painted. I know we will be here for at least another year because of the economy so I'm trying to make things nice without spending too much money. I know I would be able to sell my house for a decent price but the problem is that every other house costs so much money and we've had so many upgrades here. It just wouldn't make any sense at this point.

I'm wondering what color you're going to paint the room with its
new ceiling and fixtures. Something cozy and relaxing, a mauvey shade of pink that ends up being neutral and easy to decorate around? Perhaps a sunny shade of light green that invites you to hang art - paintings of flower gardens or shady glens. I've seen on the HGTV rehab shows lately a trend towards intense turquoise or black, and while it looks good on TV, it would be hard for me to live with day-to-day. I hope it all gets to be fun now that the wait for contractors is nearly over.
