Good afternoon
Usually, the rule of thumb is that an essay is shorter than a thesis or a research paper. I guess though that it depends on the subject matter and what exactly the teacher's requirements are.

well I blame the teacher for this because some teachers used to intimidate us deliberately. The teacher just had to say, a two paragraph assingment.I am glad you my friend did know.

FSI, I think it would have been only fair for the teacher to tell the class how many paragraphs were required at the beginning instead of letting some students ask for that information. I'm glad you did well.
